Photos - Maxton Splitter & Spoiler, Gloss Black Rockers
I have seen posts in the past asking for photos of Maxton parts and also gloss black rockers. I thought I would post some images of my winter updates that may benefit others considering similar modifications. Installation of the Maxton splitter and spoiler was pretty straightforward. I had all parts wrapped in Xpel gloss black PPF before installation. I also had the rocker extensions wrapped in gloss black PPF. For anyone considering doing black rockers, I definitely recommend this method. Xpel has a die-cut pattern for the rockers that fits very nicely. No need to remove the rocker extensions for installation and it provides a nice level of protection for all of the road grime the front tires kick up.

Very nice job! How difficult were the Rockers to install? Did you use Double sided tape as well as Screws for the install?

I had the factory rocker extensions wrapped in gloss black Xpel paint protection film. No need to remove the panels as the PPF was die-cut to the exact shape of the rockers. The PPF is made with black in the base with the standard clear layer over the top so it gives a nice, durable gloss black appearance. Matches very nicely with the rest of the black accents on the F Type (lower grille inlet, rear diffuser surround, etc.). Any Xpel installer should be able to do the same thing.
