Default Protection film on door sills

New owner here with a 2018 model. Has anybody put protection film on the black plastic and silver "Jaguar" door sill plates? Does it still look good like it does on paint? Getting in and out my feet don't have much room between the dash and sill plates. I'm being super careful but it's still occasionally making contact.

Are there any pre-cut packages for this or should I just buy a roll of XPEL or something similar?

The car comes with a protective film on the metal sills already, if the dealer did not already peal it off. It is not as durable as say Xpel, but there is something already on there.

I had mine covered with Xpel Ultimate Plus when I had the rest of the car done. The sills look great with Xpel on them. You can't even tell it is there.

I used XPEL Clear Universal Door Sill Guard to protect my car's illuminated sills.
