Pulled the Trigger :)

My heart has been set on the F-Type for the past few years, such a beautiful piece of machinery. After lurking in the background, I pulled the trigger last week on a new 2016 F-Type R in Rhodium Silver with the Black Pack and Carbon Fiber Roof. Vehicle was purchased remote from a Texas dealership and is currently in transit for a local delivery to Georgia. Attached is a picture of my F-Type prior to leaving the Texas dealership yesterday. Texas Dealer has been awesome throughout the process (Barrett San Antonio).

If anyone has a recommendation for a local Dealer for Service in the Atlanta metro area, please let me know your thoughts.

So excited, I can't wait for my first drive later this week. It is totally cool tracking the vehicles delivery progress with the Jaguar Remote iPhone app.

Excellent Car and color. Enjoy the experience, and have fun. Tracking is a blast, and adds to the excitement.

Congrats on your new beauty! You think your excited now, wait until you get behind the wheel. I've had my R for 2 & a half years now and I still get excited walking towards it to get in. Good luck and be safe.

Looks good.

Few recommendations I have:

1. Get clear-wrap protection on your hood and rear rocker panels. Aerodynamics make them prone to stone chips.

2. Don't wait for a year to get your first oil change done. Do it early.

3. Make sure to take it on the track, you can't/shouldn't see what this car can do without track time.

Also follow the break-in procedure, if you can. Patience is the key.

As others have mentioned, follow the break-in procedure as indicated in the manual and do its first oil change early.

Regarding service I've been happy with the dealer in Alpharetta (Jaguar North Point). Congrats on the new car!

Silver looks nice with the carbon blade wheels. Congrats on the purchase!

Great color - congrats!

Congrats and I'd echo SinF's advice.....particularly around the clear bra; I had mine done and I'm much more comfortable when encountering a gravel parking lot or similar situation.

2 cents,
Dave

Congratulations. Great wheels with silver. Looks like your interior is black? I tried putting my car up for the winter, but took it out for a weekend spin, even with temperatures hovering just above freezing. You'll be hooked soon.

Great news, the car was delivered last night without issue, a great job by the transport company. Unfortunately it has been raining non stop here in Georgia and my total driving distance was a whooping 150 ft to my garage. I may have started the engine a few times :)

Thanks to everyone for their responses, looking forward to the first drive later this week. Definitely getting Xpel ultimate and the interior is all black...
