Huh, first I’ve heard that you have one more turbo than I have (show off ). Figured at some point I could get a 300HP tune from VAP, should I want it. Maybe not...

Somehow, this must be related to the OP’s question about oversteer on the R, I just haven’t figured out how.

tangentially relevant at best! Oversteer from R leads to comment that the supercharged engines behave well under acceleration contrary to turbos leads to my comment that yes, but not always. See it was a windy path but we got there.

Yes, well turbocharges are like *********. Half of us dont need them but if you're gonna have them, it is best to have two.

Well, they do increase power. And rage. I’ll have to check the 1964 brochure to see how I’m equipped.

I remember a great car and driver write up on the 2010 Vette vs 2010 Viper, it was a long article with road and track specs etc.. but the last comment from the writer always stuck with me, the Vette can make a average driver look like a professional and the Viper can make a very skilled driver look like a fool. I never did get a Viper, wanted one.. but had a few Vettes and F bodies.

How often do you see an ftype at all?
I see 2 every 3 months and im in atlanta.
Those numbers still make me shake my head, I was fortunate enough get my car about 2 months ago. When I bought her, I had 2 2015 Rs within 30miles of each other at 2 lots to choose from, a white one and a black one, EACH with 16Kish miles.
I have seen several posts of late of others picking up low mileage 2015 Rs...

I have had several high HP cars over the years, mostly sticks.. but I find this car to be very predictable when you drop the go fast peddle, it like others I have owned requires a bit of modulation on that peddle and some quick steering if you press it too quickly but easy to get the desired results with some past experience with such cars. She will be my DD on pretty days, so plan on seeing her often in ATL if you are near sandy springs where I work, if the world ever gets back to normal...

Congratulations on your new FtypeR! You have some great points. 10 people may have 10 different opinions, but each of us have great points!!!
I went to buy a Turbo 911 (997) 5 months ago. I said, "let me at least test drive this jaguar fyper that gargles down the street causing ruckus!!!!" Once I sat on the red leather and drove it, I never thought about the 911 again. My wife said, what!!!!!! All of your cars,,,,and you finally get to buy your Turbo 911, but come home with a Jag???? Then she walked outside, paused and said wow!!! Its beautiful! I never looked back!!!😀
I indeed live in Sandy Springs too so I will be seeing you soon!

800 FTYPE'S WERE R'S OUT OF 22,000.
OUT OF THE 800, 50 RWD WERE PURCHASED IN AMERICA AND THEN THE AWD ARRIVED. DEFINITELY KEEP YOUR CAR....SOL

When you got your car tuned, did it take you to around 629hp?

Default Havent put it on a dyno

So not sure. Didn’t change the pulleys. Will figure it out ASAP.

as far as handling goes. Yea. She slides out on occasion especially in rain (I do not recommend).

but I suspect that is due to the tires (Toyo). Will be getting the Michelin Pilot Sport and see if this helps

If any 400+hp RWD car isn’t sliding out under power with any tire/road condition combination, something is wrong. The throttle isn’t an on off switch. Use it wisely.

Traction control mode (for F Type: rain/snow, normal, track, off) has a big effect as well.

My impressions from an (as of yet) unmodified manual v6s:

First two modes: very conservative, conservative.

Track mode will let you have a bit of fun (hang the back out for style points).

I don't really recommend "off". Even with PS4S's in the dry, it's not hard to totally lose it, especially if you've allowed the TC to make you a little complacent (don't ask me how I know this).

So you've just a tune then, so probably 600ish hp. (what tune?)
As for 777 hp good luck with that and if you get over 700, dont forget to tell us all because no one else has after 6+ years
