Reset ID-CORE Wireless Apple CarPlay
Good afternoon from Cali everyone!
Recently picked up my 2015 F-Type R Coupe, and loving it! Turns out this guy had an ID-CORE installed to the car for aftermarket Apple CarPlay. Thing is, its got a 4 digit PIN and of course was not included with the car info... I cant find a manual online, so wondering if anyone has experience or knows how to just factory reset it and I am sure I can figure out the rest, just cant guess the 4 digit pin... I believe its this: https://id-core.co.uk/product/jaguar...man-2015-2018/ |
Welcome and congrats. I recall my code being “1123.” Give that a shot.
|
My code was 188442
They might be individual to each unit though. Perhaps contact UAD and give them the serial number of your unit? |
Should be “1123” for the unit itself . 6 digit code is different and is for the wifi connection and will be different for each unit
|
4 digit pin only allows you to select the car brand displayed in one of the tabs so you can have “jaguar” instead of “car” . Doesn’t enable access to anything else I think
Reboot is actually in the submenu of “smartphone”option and doesn’t need code Reset button is next to the dip switches on the unit so means opening up your dash |
I don’t recall needing a 4 digit pin when I did my installation, the instructions do not mention it. Just the pin for Bluetooth.
Perhaps the previous owner disconnected the USB to the phone from the unit. I guess it will work once you plug the phone in to the unit and have aux as the input on the car settings. |
Thank you everyone for your help so far!
it was indeed PIN 1123 however, I still don’t know how to get to the CarPlay screen. I’ve watched a few videos where one kind is holding the Home Screen button, but no luck. How do I get to the CarPlay screen? After the PIN, selecting Jaguar, and pairing with IDCORE Bluetooth on my phone, the Navigation screen is still grayed out for CarPlay. I have an email out to IDCORE, but no response yet. thanks again! Glad to have an active forum! https://cimg8.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.jag...a3eca86e1.jpeg After PIN entered, selected “Jaguar” https://cimg0.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.jag...08527574e.jpeg This is the icon when I hit “restart” on the module. I think it’s the IDCORE logo/icon? |
A PIN wasn't required for operation on my unit.
Are you encountering an issue that requires a PIN? |
for those of you with this unit...your overall thoughts on it?

Are you encountering an issue that requires a PIN? There is a PIN code for the Apple CarPlay icon in the menu, and it was 1123. But per another member, its only for designating the car, and the actual setup things are in the WiFi area. I will be playing around with it after work to see if I can get it to do anything more when I plug in the phone instead of BlueTooth connection. |
This is fantastic! Thank you so much, Malbec! I will play around with this later and update everyone. Hopefully these pictures of the manual help others!

Sorry about the order of photos, will leave it to iPad wizkids to sort out!
Remember, switch between factory and CarPlay is long push on home button. It took a while for the wireless bit to start working, one day I noticed that I had CarPlay on the screen when my phone was in my pocket. I think to do with stray Wi-fi during initial install. All in all it’s a great piece of kit, so glad I bought mine! Enjoy! |

Love the paint matched diffuser. https://cimg7.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.jag...024a39a8d.jpeg Thank you so much to everyone who helped, and a special thank you to you, Malbec. |
