Retro fit at base active exhaust button

Hi

New to the forum and now have my new F type for 3 months. Its a long story so I will spare you the details but eventually I opted to go for the car they had for me without the active exhaust button. I think I should have waited really but a bit late now. If I contact Jaguar direct can they fit the button for me on auto base model. Loving my new car :)

without active exhaust I don't think you have the valves in the muffler that are opened and closed. I dont think adding a button would do anything unless you added the active exhaust muffler.

From a mechanical standpoint..its too cost prohibitive to retrofit an active exhaust system on to a car without it. You would need to source:

-Rear muffler assembly
-Vacuum lines
-Exhaust button
-And depending on the year you got; a vacuum pump.
-This doesn't include modifying the cars' configuration software files
