Should I do something stupid?
Now that I have completed the GT3 look I was going for, I am getting the itch to take it to the next level... GT3 Challenge. My job now allows me to have the ability to have parts custom made to replicate the Jaguar F Type GT3 Challenge and it's always been something I've wanted to do! My car is primarily being used for work events, product promoting and track days now anyways (now that I have another car to DD). We were planning to do some type of crazy wrap livery in the near future as well as a few partner collaborations so I figured now would be the time.
Parts would include:
- GT3 Challenge swan neck wing
- GT3 Challenge rear diffuser
- GT3 Challenge titanium exhaust
- Carbon Fiber side sill extensions
- Carbon Fiber front lip and canards
- Lightweight 18" or 19" wheels with meaty tires
- Upgraded brakes
- Sabelt or Racetech fixed seats
This would mean that my current GT Carbon diffuser, GT Carbon wing and R exhaust would be for sale.
Thoughts?

Yes, the premise is stupid prima facie. That said, I'm not sure that doing something stupid with a car that's an impractical showpiece is actually stupid.
Also of note, I got an F-Type as a daily driver and an only car (that did change, but not voluntarily), so my comments are not reasonably representative of rational behavior. I mean, I bought an MV Agusta as a commuter. Seriously. I'll die poor, and going 312kph.

Also interested in the diffuser and possibly the lip
Go for it man, if the car isn't a DD, you should totally take it to the extreme. On a side note, I've been looking to do some simple carbon fiber upgrades to my F-type. COuld you share some pics of your current diffuser and lip? Were they hard to install and could you let us know where you bought them from? Thank you.

Giving the choice of rotting away in a rest home or worse, being a burden on others - give me a super fast car and a brick wall. Fire/oil/crushed legs, I'd still be smiling for one micro-second vs going out like a bitch.
That said, Paul was too young and went out via the carelessness of another.

Although I believe a principle cause was determined as very old tyres with degradation of rubber despite their low mileage.
So tragedy aside, probably caused by negligent maintenance rather than excess speed.

Alright guys so I stopped by my buddy's race shop today and he said he is willing to take on! However, if I am even going to think about attempting this, I would need sell my current parts:
I would be "potentially" selling:
- GT Carbon rear diffuser (includes upper valance and OEM reverse light brackets) (professionally prepped and painted gloss black by Ferrari Collision Center) - $1800
- GT Carbon wing (professionally prepped and painted gloss black by Ferrari Collision Center) - $1200
- OEM V8 R quad exhaust - $900
Just feeling this out but if I decide to move forward I need to do so within the next week or two since I will be driving this up to Monterey Car Week with Fuel Run at the end of next month. I'm sure that I am going to regret selling these (with how much work went into each of these parts to make them appear OEM+) but I also think that this idea is not going to go away unless I just go for it..
