Hello guys!
I havent find anything that answer my question. As the subtitle, i got 2016 v6s AWD 20" split´s. Does any one know what the maximum mm is for this setup regarding spacers. When i look at it, it seams to be impossible to ad anything without **** with the fenders?? Se pic https://cimg1.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.jag...e44a10c4e7.jpg |
Unless your looking at lowering the car the wheels wont hit
|
Not certain what “split” means. A few questions. What size tires do you have (295 or 305)? Do you have original equipment wheels on the car? Looking at your picture, if you hit a sufficiently large pothole, you will deform your fender whether you lower the suspension or not.

For those trying to help and haven't seen the car (or don't remember), there are photos here:

I have bought four parts now anyway, it seems to be the story with f-type, there is not so much info. So I will try. Same story when I bought the diffuser for sports design, same when I bought the taillights from V8, but you nailed it when you thought the V8 & V6 were the same, - You were right. So I will try. It will be the same when I try to mount the steering wheel that I just order, still i will make e tthread :) Thanks for the commitment guys! |
I will try and answer your question.
H&R do 15mm spacers which fit even with H&R lowering springs, i know :icon_wink: |

Here we have two completely different answers, it will be interesting to see what reality says when I mount this.

If you have OEM wheels, 295 tires and 15mm spacers you can lower the car as much as you want without rubbing tires. My original comment was based on the photo. 17mm spacers would be questionable and 305 tires will grab the fenders with 15mm spacers.

I understand but on the photo os stock wheels Tornado n 295. I feel like you, it looks like 15 mm won't fit....
https://cimg5.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.jag...6579fd9f54.jpg My wheels/tire combo has effectively pushed the face of the tire out 15mm beyond the OEM setup. Under sharp cornering and when hitting deep potholes, the wheel is able to hinge up into the wheel well without rubbing even though my rear suspension has been lowered 1.5" (H&Rs). |
Those arrived today! Anyone knows anything about them/have it on their cars?

When i was putting on som new back tyers yesterday i wanted to mount this. It didnt work. The stock bolts was to long so the hitted the rims if that makes any sense. :(
The mechanic told me that i needed to shorten the stock bolts, any one? |

But to summarise, with every OEM F-Type wheel other than Blades, when fitting 15 mm or thinner spacers/adaptors, you need to cut the ends off the studs otherwise they foul on the backs of the wheels because the recesses/hole/voids between the lug holes are not deep enough. Some have cut the lugs, some have ground them down, others have drilled/ground the recesses a bit deeper, whatever is easiest for you. The lugs have some 5 mm of "blank" on the end before the thread starts so no problem cutting a bit off. |
