Default Steering Wheel Vibrates for 3 to 5 Seconds '21 F-Type R

Hello All...

My first post.

So, my MY21 F-Type R steering wheel vibrates intermittently at any speed. The vibrations last for 3 to 5 seconds. It's not tire imbalance or warped rotors; it does it at 5mph to 100+mph.

I took it to the dealer, they kept it for 2.5 weeks; said they changed the entire steering and that there was some type of contacts that connected with turning the steering wheel; nonsense. The problem still exist and they say it is fine.

I'm thinking it's the steering control module or the angle sensor.

No codes show on my OBD reader.

I'm at a loss; any ideas or same experiences are very much welcomed.

Thank you in advanced.

Mr DJ

I’ll ask the obvious - does your car have lane departure warning? This is what it does when you cross a line, it vibrates the steering wheel for a few seconds. If you first activate the turn signal, it doesn’t. There’s a button to disable it.

DJS, hello...

It does have it but I don't believe it is turned on but I'll check. My other cars (F-Pace SVR, C7 Corvette, a few more) have that feature and none of them does that...

I'll report back...

Thank you, Sir...

No chance that you have flat spots on your tires from sitting too long or something?

Are the tires old and/or or wearing weird?
