Sticky Button Fix

I recently purchased a new to me 2016 F-Type, Sticky buttons and plastic trim, I searched the internet and came across a story where someone suggested using Neutrogena Makeup Remover Wipes, figured I give it a go..... well surprisingly it worked. Let me first state this is not a fast tasking, rub with wipe, once area is wet, use a lint ffee cloth and continue wiping. Repeat many times and gentle force is needed. I ended up using my finger nail wrapped in the cloth to scratch it as well. Results, glue substance came off and surface is clean, smooth, and no damage.

hope this helps

Yes one of the many ways to do this. I used guitar fret board conditioner by dunlop its is a lemon oil based product. Similar technique as well slow and steady I used a guitar pick to gently move the goo around and to pick it up.

one thing I would like to add different parts react differently to cleaning methods Th steering wheel bezel trim pieces are known for the finish to lift off when cleaning. You need to to be careful when doing certain pieces.

I am actually needing to do the steering wheel bezel trim along the top, what do you suggest?

I'm not trying to be mean, but you should use the search function first to see if the same topic has been discussed. Most of the time, you'll find answers already in the forum rather than waiting for someone to respond. Here's a thread to review:

I have found the search function to be a bit quirky and sometime even when the search text is specific it does too broad a list.

I've had zero issues with. That thread I linked took me 30 seconds.
