Strange Possible Exhaust noise

Anyone have any ideas or experience with this noise?

It’s like a pressure/hydraulic/etc release sound that happens when the car revs fall, either from letting off the throttle and revs come down, or by changing down a gear, and again the revs coming down.

Whilst driving it sounded as if it was coming from the front. However, after listening to it from outside it sounds like it is coming from the exhaust system.

Keen to hear thoughts - it’s in for a service next week, and I’d like to direct the mechanics to the right area, hoping to make things easier their end… and quicker!

Thanks!

Freddie

Possibly the bypass valve on the exhaust?

Banana 🍌 in the tail pipe trick!

Sounds like a squeaky active exhaust valve. I'd guess happening around 1500 rpm?

It should be more natural, brother. It should flow out, like this - "Look, man, I ain't fallin' for no banana in my tailpipe!"

One (or both) of the exhaust box bypass valves is rattling. Mine has started to do the same exact thing. When you rev it or start it, the valves open and shut depending on speed and load and also startup 'flare' and you will hear the rattle.
