Tinted headlights anyone

Just for cosmetics looks , has anyone tinted their front lens, light or medium smoke, just want to see the look. I know driving at night can be effected, but the cat never is out at night, more of a daytime cat. Pics would be great

I'm bumping this with some info in case anyone else ends up at this thread through search and is thinking about doing this: I wouldn't recommend it unless you primarily drive in the day.

Tinted my headlights with Vivvid light smoke (doesn't look that light.. was really hoping for a 10-20% reduction in lightness) and while it looks good with the black pack or chrome delete, it cuts the headlight output to a point where I'm not satisfied with the lighting at night. Next to my mom's Mercedes with LED headlights, I was blown away how different it was. That definitely put the nail in the coffin for me. Oh well, it was a bit of fun installing it for around $20.

I did mine in VVivid also. I have the black pack, smoked tails, and tinted windshield. The darker headlights kind of round out the look for me. Both the tinted glass and headlights cut down on light output but I don't have any issue driving at night although I only use the car on a limited basis. I equate it to driving the car lowered- something you have to account for and learn to manage - been doing it a long time and always aware of where I'm driving and how to approach curbs, speedbumps etc.

That Miami Blue - Just epic. The tinted lights just make it really pop.

Thanks! I actually thought of getting the Osram CBB's and seeing if the additional light output will compensate for the tint. I'll see how it goes, then I'll decide.

before and after. I am running osram nightbreakers and have no problems w light output.

Nightbreakers are super bright. Probably one of the brightest HID bulbs you can get, so I'm not surprised. Nice solution.

I would be interested in trying the Nightbreakers, do you have a link for the correct style/model and best price? I would assume there is a DIY somewhere. Thanks.

Here is a link to the correct bulbs:

If you search the forum there is a write up on bulb replacement. There are a couple ways to do it. I found it easiest to remove the whole head light assembly to change the bulb.

thanks, I am planning the p7 swap this winter, so I may do the bulbs as well. I did the dip bulbs on my VW and broke one trying to get it in - super tight fit and no room to work.
