During a car wash, when the SUV was put in neutral, I was unable to put it back into drive at the end of the wash. It was like the transmission control would not let me go back to Drive. The car had to be turned off, then back on while going thru the last seconds of the wash in order to get control. Thank goodness there was not another vehicle behind me.

 

A lesson I learned the hardway a few years back. Jaguars do not like the high pressure automatic car washes. Mine died and I had to use an air hose and blow down the engine to dry out the connectors to get it started. The high pressure penetrates the connectors and create havoc.
My Jag's love the rain but not automatic car washes. I had the upper brake light cover blown off and damaged by the air dry blower. I only go to hand wash shops now.
