Adding oil to XF Supercharged?

Hello,
I bought a XF Supercharged (2009) this past January. I want to know how to add oil to the engine. Seriously; the cap seems to have a unique way of opening--simply "twisting" the oil cap doesn't open it--how can I open the cap to add a little oil and some oil additive? Is there a video anywhere that explains this "trick"?
Thanks.

If it's as I think then they do just twist off but you can get to the point where it feels like that's not true!

Yep, it's a simple twist off counter-clockwise.
If yours won't come off with a gentle twist then it might be a little stuck with old/burnt oil or the cap might be faulty in some way.

Thanks; you are correct; is does feel as if it is not true--I will try again with your note---it must be a very precise turn and getting the cap aligned just at that "sweet" spot for the cap to come off.....

I tend to wear (latex/nitrile/etc) gloves - they help with grip as a side-effect.

they stick, twist harder :)
