Connecting a meter
I am looking for a way to connect a meter or scope at various connectors. I don't see any way to do that without some sort of breakout box. Anybody have as easy, even a difficult soultion?
I know you can use a pin to poke a hole in the insulation and clip to the pin but that is a little more destructive than I would like. On some connectors you can insert a paperclip or some such in the back of the connector but on my Type X all the connectors are sealed at the back.

They are sealed with rubber seals and not glue or Silicon. You can carefully back probe any connector without damage and there are hundreds of different tools to do that. I have probably 50+ different probe's.
Here is a kit of 25+ for under $20. The ones with needles on the end and bent in different angels are probably the most useful configuration for me. You insert the needle along side the wire until you reach the pin. Takes a few tries before you see how it needs to go. But yes I stopped poking holes in the wire insulation a LONG time ago!
