I need Vin info# - RESOLVED

This car is 888460 V engine #RA1547-9 this is all the data I have. It is a 1963 coupe built about April 1 1963. I need body # and int/ext. info please

Welcome to the forum Barniby,

1963 was well before the time of VIN on UK manufactured vehicles. Chassis and engine numbers provide much less information.

The 888460V suggests a 1963 E-Type Series 1, 3.8 litre FHC, LHD. The engine number prefix RA indicates manufactured Feb/Mar 1963.

If that's about right it's a valuable special car. I expect Jaguar Heritage & others will have details.
