Default JTIS wont install

Been trying to install the JTIS manual on my computer. Have it both on CD as well as the download version and same thing happens either way.

I double-click the setup.exe in the main directory and get the hourglass and then nothing. Processes seem to be running in background but no install. Tried running the setup.exe in the DAO Disk 1 folder same result.

Any ideas? I am pretty good with computers usually, I have tried disabling or closing all running programs including McAfee.

System spec - Dell Vostro Quad Core desktop running XP SP3 Version 5.1 build 2600. Got 4GB of RAM and lots of space on C:

I installed it on my old computer running Windows ME!! Reinstalled it on my new computer running Vista SP2. Did you try the "START" "RUN" way of installing it?

I have tried that - and even went one further, tried opening a RUN - CMD dialogue and put in a command line D: setup.exe

All the same, nothing. Not sure whats going on with this computer, have not had any issue installing any other software.
