Mongoose Pro issues in XP
I bought what is supposedly a genuine Mongoose Pro cable which was supplied with IDS / SDD software. I tried installing the software on my Windows 11 laptop, but it failed with a message that it only supports XP.
I successfully installed the SW and drivers on my old XP laptop and it correctly recognises the cable and loads the driver, but the J2354 toolbox shows the cable as not responding. When I look in Windows device manager, I can see Windows is treating it as a USB 1.1 device rather than USB 2.9, which is what I believe is causing the failure. However, whatever I try, I just cannot get Windows to correctly recognise the cable as a USB 2.0 device.
Any suggestions as to what else to try?
