I wonder if anyone can shed some light on my problem,
ive just recieved my mongoose pro cable v139 main disk to install as per online tutorial which seems simple enough
however i cant install as my laptop runs windows 7 64 bit and needs to be 32 bit,
does anyone know a way past this, in simple terms please

Assuming you have a clone and not the genuine Drew Technologies Mongoose?

If so, in simple terms you need to install it in a Virtual Machine (e.g.Oracle VM Virtual Box or VMware Player) with XPpro as the OS which does NOT have an internet connection.

(I have version 1.34 running in Windows XPpro in Oracle VM Virtual Box on my Windows 10 laptop)

If you don't know how to do this then it immediately gets very complicated.

And in that case just buy a cheap XP Pro system.

Do you have any tips on how to get this running on a 64bit machine? My Mangoose worked fine on my old Windows 7 PC with Virtual Box but I have never been able to get it working on my 64bit Windows 8.1 PC with Virtual Box so I have to resort to a slow old physical XP machine.

Windows 8.1 doesn't seem to be able to find any drivers for the Mangoose so I can't load any and I have tried installing the 64bit ones on the DrewTech website. The virtual XP PC sees it as a USB device and when I try and add it I see it flash up very briefly then disappear. If I try again it just says it is busy from a previous operation.

Do I need to get Windows 8.1 to recognise it first or does it not need the drivers loaded in the guest OS?
