recourse for feedback/complaints about dealer service
Hello all, I apologize if this answer is posted elsewhere, as I've certainly been looking for it. I was wondering if there was a higher level at Jaguar corporate that I could relay a complaint to about a dealer's service. I live in the USA (NJ), and have an XJ8 no longer under warranty and which is now being serviced by a local dealer. The level of cost overruns (I was originally quoted about $400, then after I dropped it off has risen to $3000) and length of time (it's been there a week, for a service that was only supposed to last an afternoon, and each day it's been a different excuse for the delay) have gotten quite aggravating, as you can imagine. Is there some level of Jaguar USA corporate that I could relay such feedback to?
Thank you in advance for your help. |
Have you been through the local management? JaguarUSA.com has a contact link on it and they are located in NJ.

I'll give this a try, thanks very much for your help!

Sympathies RTD for that poor quality dealer in NJ. Some of them are just as bad in the UK. I work on the "once bitten, twice shy" principle. I don't go to dealers unless I absolutely have to. Many years ago I drove my Vauxhall Ventora into the back of a tanker delivering fuel oil to a customer at about 30mph. I was dazzled by a low-hanging morning sun. It was taken by a towtruck to the nearest Vauxhall dealer, who repaired the crash damage. The job was rubbish to say the least. The spraying on the bonnet/hood had more orange peel on it than a real orange. I could have done a better job myself, indeed I had on previous cars. Maybe the proprietors of this website have a "rogue's gallery" of bad or rapacious dealers? Maybe an "Angels or Devils" list of those who purport to fix Jaguar cars?
