Should I buy a warranty ?

I'm a new member. Massachusetts. Will pick up a 2013 XK 17,000 miles in few days. Perfect condition (I hope). Will use sparingly and plan very low miles. Did not pay a lot. Everyone tells me to purchase a warrenty but it doesnt make sense to me. They are very expensive and would likely cost more than one or two repairs. Also feels like I didnt get a good deal if I have to spend thousands more on warrenty. Opinions? Thanks/

Personally I'd keep the money, do a bunch of changes that may have been missed, and then just repair things as needed.

Thanks for the help. I agree with your strategy. The warrenty money on top of non-warrenty work and routine stuff all adds up. The vin is SAJWA4FB7DLB49229.

Check the X150 section for discussions on "extended warranty" issues. See particularly the Official Jaguar Protection Plan thread. Good luck with the car.

If you will be reliant on a dealer/jag specialist for every little repair, and knowing that repairs on these cars will cost 2 or possibly 3 times as much as a 'normal' car the warranty might just work out financially.

I'd put the money in the bank and learn to do as much work myself as possible. In most cases you'll come out ahead. I certainly did.
