Unknown Radar Detector/ Jammer, how do I turn it on?

Hello,

I got an 2015 F-type R today and while picking it up I was informed about a discovery that the car had some system installed by the previous owner that looks to be a Radar Detector / Jammer. I dont see anything that looks aftermarket inside the car, so any idea how I turn the system on? Pictures of the installed modules below. There are two modules in the front, and one on the center of the back of the vehicle.

You would need to follow the power wires from the modules. Likely it is always on when the vehicle is running (constant power, no switch). All just speculation from me.

Like you, I discovered my car had a K40 integrated unit installed by one of the previous owners. My switch is located under the dash left side of steering wheel. First time it turned on I had no idea what was going on. I figure I hit it with my foot getting in or out of the car. My indicators are integrated in the speedometer needle and has varying audible sounds. Scared the hell out of me because I had no idea what was going on.

The forum members here were a big help pointing me in the right direction. I found the front and rear sensors and luckily they were marked K40 on the units. I contacted K40 and they were awesome helping me identify the unit and sent me a user manual by email.

I would check the sensors and see if you can find some identifying markings and go from there. Good luck and happy hunting

Regards

Andrew
