Default After owning 10 Jags - I Pace ?

Hi folks
I have to admit that I love the brand over the years, and actually own an F-Type and F-Pace.

After purchasing the first F-Type, I noticed a few things that had to get fixed, yet normal type of "new car bugs". I had the urge for the R 8 cyl., and changed it out for the F-Type R model. Again, not many problems, stupid things but yet a fine built car.

F-Pace - First one "pre-buyout" was a disaster, and finally had it bought back, and opted to go into another F-Pace. Love this car, looks, ride and features. 2nd one had problems, and they shouldn't have allowed these cars to leave the mfg. line with such quality issues. However, I have the car where I want it now, ICTP virtually there, 2 creek problems reinforced, one by a body shop the other at the dealers shop etc.etc.

So, WHY? , please tell me "WHY" would I want to chance my hard earned dollars on a brand new "TOTALLY TECHNOLOGY BASED" vehicle and Jaguar couldn't even get it's ICTP (vintage technology) right? I need a solid answer, as I see the I-Pace, love the look and concept, then pinch myself saying...."Hey, stupid don't you remember the last 15 months with the 2 F-Paces???????

I have a hard time with confidence in the "newness" of Jaguar, not the boldness, but they couldn't get the basics right out here causing a lot of service visits and pain, and with this car they have a lot of proving to do for my liking...."ALTHOUGH I HAVE A DEVIOUS INTEREST IN THIS NEW VEHICLE"

jag and technology dont typically go well together. i share your concern, as well as your interest in the car.

i'll give it some time. 1) the lease rates in the beginning will be horrible, similar to when the F-Pace came out. 2) let other people be the test mice. as a daily driver for my wife, she'll kill me if the car spends most of its time in the shop

The car is coming out of a completely different plant. They aren't sure of the popularity so they are keeping the initial run small and using a plant that is set up for short runs basically outsourcing the manufacturing to specialists). Given electrics tend to be highly modular risks are relatively low unless they do crazy stuff like Tesla did with those damn gull wing rear doors on the X. But agree that the initial few cars will likely be risky, since I plan to have one, will let you all know how it goes.
