Close to purchasing 'first edition'

Hi Forum! I am currently an f-type owner but have been stalking this great forum as I draw closer to the decision to lease a new 'first edition.' I live in the SF Bay Area and so far my only hesitation comes from my uncertainty of available charging (fast) to support trips to Los Angeles (either 101 or 5) or trips to Tahoe. Could you kindly share your experiences as to availability of high current DC chargers to support those of us independent thinkers who refuse to get on the Tesla bandwagon? Thanks so much! Cheers!

Easiest way is to downnload one of the charging apps and then look at the populated charging stations. I have Blink, Chargepoint and Plug Share myself. Looking at Chargepoint, there are a number of DC fast chargers showing up (many at Walmart). But load the app then look for DC fast chargers on your route. Check to make sure they are built, and working. (The app will tell you this but I don't like surprises). I tried the PlugShare app and it did the best job of locating the CCS/SAE Combo high speed chargers and an impressive number of the things showed up. Good luck and let us know what you decide.

Has anyone actually made the drive? Were chargers available for use? How was the experience?
