I-Pace price - what'd you pay?

So I'd expect that a lot of I-Pace earl adopters are going to be Jag enthusiasts and forum members. Around the office, we've been wondering about the real-world I-Pace price and what the buying experience was like. I know MSRP is around 70k, but has anyone found the dealers ready to bargain? My first instinct that they might be down to cut some deals and throw in options to move some product, at least initially, as some kind of proof of concept? But I just don't know. Anyone care to share? I'm really looking forward to seeing these babies in the wild, and I expect they'll be pretty popular in Seattle...

Johnny Mayday 07-18-2018 07:27 PM

I know this baby is going to be out of my price range, but I can't wait for it to show up in the local press fleet. That's going to be my best chance to drive it.

Cool! What color did you go with?

enderle 07-26-2018 03:53 AM

Mine was around $95K US, we don't have tax in Oregon. That's for a fully loaded HSE in Blue with black out trim and black wheels.

Great choice in colors! Blue with black out trim and black wheels. Sounds really awesome

Just thought I’d toss this in...asked my Jag dealer how much his $87,000 I Pace would really cost me. He said “you get the $7500 tax credit, $3000 rebate from Jaguar and the dealership would take off another $1500”. I wasn’t impressed after he admitted they’ve had “zero” interest in the car. He’s in Mobile, AL (which explains a lot of things).

I paid list price for my First Edition since I custom ordered it on Jaguar's configurator.
NJ doesn't have sales tax on EVs. That combined with the federal tax rebate made paying for it a bit easier to swallow.

Sacho 02-24-2019 12:03 PM

Is there a federal tax credit on the car too.

enderle 02-24-2019 05:15 PM

Yes, $7,500 I think.

docsbc 06-18-2019 09:12 PM

Mine was a 2020 special order at 102K, loaded

docsbc 06-18-2019 09:15 PM

By the way, Id order it again!

enderle 06-19-2019 12:41 PM

Me too turned out to be a really fun car.

luvdodo 09-25-2019 11:02 AM

$86000 MSRP , leased it for 3 years , $5K down at $999/month.

Its an HSE Model with the following Options:
  • Cold Climate Pack
  • Heated Steering Wheel & Heated Front Windshield (incl Washer Jets)
  • Cabin Air Ionization
  • Head-up Display
  • Front Fog Lights
  • Configurable Ambient Interior Lighting
  • Corris Grey Metallic Paint
  • Premium Interior Protection Pack
  • Chrome Wheel Lock Pack
  • Car Care Kit
  • Basic Rear Seat Convenience Pack

Decent deal?

Good deal or just overpriced car?

I've been looking at a 2019 I-Pace HSE with MSRP at $86,400 (including some worthless add-ons at port). Dealer is willing to discount 20%. Is this a worthwhile deal or does it just show that they know the car is going to lose value quickly and they cannot move them. Jag sells 200 I-pace a month and Tesla sells 14,000 Model 3's. But I do like the Jag initially although it lacks a lot of things I have in my older X3.

Thoughts?

Right now you can get good buys on any 2019 as the 2020s are coming out and dealers want to clear inventory. I'll bet you can get a HUGE deal on a 2019 Corvette for instance given the C8 (which I'm really tempted to buy but want to wait till next year's higher performance addition). Tesla's hold value better for now certainly but they don't yet make a small SUV and there is that danger that Tesla itself is spending far more than it makes and is running out of money again. The stockholders are effectively subsidizing that car which does make it a good deal but if Tesla fails what happens to the proprietary charging network let alone service and support? So, for me, it came down to wanting a small SUV that looked cool rather than a non-descript but admittedly much faster small sedan, large sedan, or stupid SUV (I'm really not a fan of the Tesla X, it is a nightmare car that is too complex and way too prone to problems for me which is sad because I initially thought those gull-wing doors were really cool). I think you can tell we all love our cars but, with all electrics, unless you can largely live with charging at home, an electric makes a better second car than a first car until they get true high speed charging sorted. In my own case I started with both the I-Pace and a Mercedes GLA45 AMG, I found I wasn't driving the Mercedes so I got rid of it and now just mostly drive the Jaguar. But my wife has a gas SUV, and we have an F-Type as well which I could use in the summer as an alternative ride (winter not so much). Oh, and the I-Pace was awesome last year in the snow with snow tires. Anyway my six cents.

Corris grey 2019 HSE with blackout package, cold weather and one of the rims upgrades - MSRP 85k, paid 80. In NJ, so no sales tax on EV and I'll get the 7500 federal tax credit.

lair12 10-16-2019 06:35 PM

I must have had a more motivated dealer. Fuji White, Ebony interior, 20" 5068 wheels, HSE plus Cold Climate Pkg, Front Fogs, Four-Zone AC, Adaptive Dynamics, Ambient Interior, Cabin Ionization, Weather mats, Wheel locks,. MSRP $86,332. Out the door $68,232 plus $2,768 state tax and tags, less $7,500 tax credit = $63,500.

I thought everyone got at lease $7000 Jaguar incentive.
