The inevitable

Being a gearhead for the majority of my life I thought I'd be the last person to sign on to any kind of EV. I am brand loyal so when Jaguar launched the I Pace I was interested. I have my Series II RHD SWB XJ and a classic oldsmobile that I'm nearly finished restoring however I am (strangely ) looking forward to an EV.

I think my attitude towards electric cars has changed dramatically, even in the last year or two.

I also would not be against an electric Jaguar at this point. At least they have gone about it the right way, particiapting in Formula E to at least create the image that some of the technologies in the road cars are coming straight off of the race cars!

It is a travesty jaguar made this,i would be ok with it if they had the classic style or it was at least a car

In the electric E-Type thread you also think creating that car is a "travesty" and that is a classic style and a car. I'm starting to wonder if you know what "travesty" means?

They killed a classic e-type what more could you want!

I doubt they did that at all and your earlier comment on the iPace indicated you didn't like it because it wasn't a classic or a car and this electric e-type is both. So you don't like the iPace because it isn't a classic car and you don't like the E-Type electric because it is. I'm guessing you just don't like electric cars and wonder if you've ever actually driven one.

As to wrecking a classic car, when they go into production they'll build the parts for the car so no existing e-types will be lost.

Geez, just noticed this forum today! I guess I always just go straight to the X152 board... Anyway, hi! At this rate, the I-Pace will be here before my Telsa Model 3! (deposited first night, might be here Feb-April. Or Nov-Dec if I get a dual drive.)
Any word on current US release time/price? Saw that 25K were already ordered. Reeeally don't want to be an early adopter on this one! But dang, it sure would look purty next to my F-Type :D

I was told this week by a dealer they should start shipping Q3 18. Price should be at the higher range of an F-Pace.

Pricing and order

They haven't released Canadian pricing for some reason but the one I ordered comes to $86,640 USD. I was told that I may see delivery as early as Summer. That would be pretty sweet.
