I was wondering if anybody had experience with the refinishing or re clear coating jag wood. which clearcoat is the most heat resistant and won't yellow and crack as much with age?and what methods I could use to make the woodgrain pop?

Jerel,

I've moved your question from General Tech Help to Interior forum. The topic has been discussed here previously.

Somewhere in your area will be a local shop that sells veneer rolls of wood. They will have different types of resin. The best is a product very similar to what Jag uses. It's expensive for a small amount but it's worth it. I've even seen it at Hobby Stores. Can't think of the name but it might be something like Liquid Glass

Jaguar wood work to me is best done by a professional shop like Madera Concepts as most DIY jobs never are that good. I was lucky to have a friend whom used to do this professionally. He carefully removed the coatings and repaired and colored the wood. I used the clear materials he recommended and had a body shop do the coatings which they wet sanded in-between coatings to give it that great shine. The product was:
Matrix Systems clearcoat: $65 (one quart plus hardener and reducer)
