5.0 v8 engine

Hi All
is there a manual gearbox that bolts up to a 5.0 v8 engine ,
thanks.

Short answer: No.

Long answer.... The Jaguar 6-speed manual transmission being used in the 340HP and 380HP V6 Jaguar F-type engine should bolt up to the 5.0 block.
Jaguar is already having some problems with the clutches at only 380hp, so good luck getting a Jaguar clutch to survive the V8's 550hp. I am sure the V6 manual wouldn't hold up to the 5.0L's HP otherwise Jaguar probably would have offered that option.
If you managed to find a Jaguar F-type manual 6-speed for a reasonable price, and did bolt it up to a 5.0 engine, then you would have a big problem with the ECM. Since all the 5.0L engines use automatics, shift points in the transmission are communicated to the engine's ECM. Without the ECM talking to the transmission controller, the ECM will be very unhappy and send many error codes, and perhaps do nothing more than idle.

For any manual trans mated up to the 5.0, you would have to use an aftermarket engine controller. Once you go this route, anything is possible mating any manual trans.

I say use a TR6060 or Magnum 6 speed manual, fabricate a trans to block adapter plate, likely have to machine a custom trans clutch/input shaft and get a custom clutch fabricated. I'de set aside about $12K to do this project properly

Let us know if you want to be the pioneer and be the first to do this. (I am pretty sure it been done now for the 4.2 engine.)
