In IE versions 6 through 9, *all* index pages, and *most* individual thread pages are spinning their wheels.

This means the "throbber" is showing the browser is still trying to finish loading the page as "designed" by IB. The throbber will continue to be active for as long as you care to leave the page open .. chewing up 20 percent or more of the cpu.

No, it is *not* a system problem as it only happens on the JF site.

BTW, while on the subject of html code .. this page with a single post in it is 78KB *before* allowing for additional files. That's not overweight .. it is morbidly OBESE.

Hmmm, I had a load time problem over the W/E, with the 'throbber' continuously spinning yesterday, to the point where I abandoned any attempt to login to the forum.

'waiting for 'ajaxgoogleapix.com'.

Not good.

Have made a few observations this morning.

I know my setup is not exactly 'Typical', but I am finding that a browser either with or set to the FF Rendering Engine loads the forum pages quicker than IE and shows a much smaller page size.

The odd one is Opera,

For the time being I'll be sticking to the more display driver crash prone FF Rendering Engine and 21.8 KB.
