How do I add a signature picture?

I am trying to add a signature picture. I have gone into User CP and into the add signature portion. I downloaded a picture of my car. It shows the picture and I have hit the upload button. The picture won't move to my signature. What am I doing wrong?

Steve,

The most frequent cause of issues with uploading SigPics is exceeding the permitted file size limits.

The maximum size of your image is 500 by 100 pixels or 9.8 KB (whichever is smaller).
