This section IS NOT FOR VEHICLE RELATED ISSUES

This section; Jaguar Forums Advice / Feedback & Suggestion Center is only for issues regarding the forum itself.

i.e. I want to change my username? how do I add pictures? There is a problem with viewing xyz....and so on.

No vehicle related questions in here! They will be moved to the appropriate subforum or deleted.

Thanks :)

Is there a section/thread that contains suggestions for improvements of next gen cars - I just bought a 2018 XF S and love it, but look forward to the next gen with a few forum inspired tweaks and the V8 engine of course (or at least 10% HP more over the 380

That topic should be posted and discussed in X260 forum.

Hey mods - what's the timeout on being able to edit a post after you create it?

I created this thread and wanted to update my original post with all the great feedback I got in the discussion, so it would be a good summary for someone else.

It seems like the post gets locked after about 24 hours, is that right? Is there a way to edit specific threads beyond that?

That is correct. After the post is 24 hours old, it cannot be edited without a Moderator. Each community is setup different and often for what the Staff believes works best for their community.

Without an Administrator or Moderator permission, the system does not allow the ability to give exceptions to this setting.

We need a way to go back and revise past postings & photos as errors are discovered or new information becomes available. KEEP THE EDIT OPTION OPOEN !

I disagree.

The 24 hour limit is sufficient time for members to review a post for typos or factual errors. Before the limit was imposed, some members were editing their original posts after receiving criticism in subsequent posts from other members. This was making a nonsense of the discussion.

Where there is a genuine reason or need to revise a post (e.g. the information is so inaccurate as to be potentially dangerous or damaging), members should contact a Moderator. We have unrestricted editing rights and can make suitable changes.
