who does what?

contacted a regional co-ord re trying to manage off topic comments and spin off new threads and he tells me that they have no mod rights/abilities and are basically ambassadors.

This being the case who do you talk to for stuff like that or to say create a sticky?

This is a International forum and the RC's (Regional Coordinators) act as a focus for Regional activities where their local knowledge and enthusiasm is a huge benefit to members. At present, they do have limited 'edit' abilities which we are investigating.

The ability to start a new thread is open to all members as is the option to include a link or links to other thread(s) in it.

Any of the Moderator Team can manage threads/posts or set threads as 'stickies'. However, we use our 'edit' facility to correct errors and not to rewrite history!

Thanks Graham

Interesting to see how different forums operate. In another forum I participate in the mods are quite aggressive in keeping threads on track and will often take tangential topics out and create a new thread. Different world though.

Thanks for clarifying the sticky thing (?!) if anything look like a candidate we can propose to a mod.

Yarpos, we try not to change / edit / remove or otherwise stem the flow on the site unless absolutely necessary, all too often it can be heavy handed on other sites I've found.

As far as RC's go, Graham is on the money. We are looking at trying to give them further powers though to enhance what they can / cannot achieve.

If its a run of the mill query and regional related you're better going through the RC's in the first instance, but we're always happy to help
