Default MK9 auto gear shift linkage rod needed

hey all
1959 Jaguar MK9 automatic lhd
anyone breaking a MK9?
i am looking for the auto gear shift linkage rod that goes from the end of the shifter rod where it comes out of the firewall down to the trapezium linkage beside transmission

You might struggle with this part ! Why do you need another one ? Cars of this era will have parts that can be made by small engineering shops quite easily. Would this be an option for you ?

thanks for the reply, my car is missing this linkage!
I have looked at one on another car and it is curved and angled at certain points that will be very hard to duplicate without an original to copy.
I m keeping my fingers crossed optimistically!

Hi, and a Happy New Year to you too.
I hope you can find one of these parts, but there aren't too many Mark IXs around these days or many being broken. A lot were broken up some decades ago when the XK sports cars were undergoing rebuilds. A lot of stuff like you need would have been thrown away/scrapped. Nowadays the cars are worth rebuilding so tend not to be scrapped now.
