Brake Fluid Bleeding - Jaguar MKIX
 

I am currently having issues bleeding my front brakes on my 1959 Jaguar MKIX. The rear brakes bled without an issues but the front brakes do not want to release any fluid. I am currently using a Griot's Garage One-Person Brake bleeder like the one in the link attached. I bought this bleeder since it is similar to the one used by the previous tech. Please let me know if you have any thoughts?

Check the unions for blockages. I would bleed all joints from rubber lines back to see if a blockage or start at Master Cylinder and go to front brakes. One man bleeder is good, just check at all unions until you find air pocket or blockage. Then check brake cylinders/calipers.

Jagfixer, thanks for the advice. I originally started from the back two brakes and had no issues but I can't get any fluid to come out of the two front calipers. I took the car for a drive and tried re-bleeding the front calipers with no luck. You mentioned check the unions for blockages; how can I do that?

Are both front flexible chassis hoses NEW or recently replaced??

A 50 year old hose will sometimes collapse inside and not allow fluid to pass easily.
You can usually force fluid through with the master cylinder but low pressure or vacuum might not work.

Loosen all unions one at a time just like bleeding a cylinder and retighten after bleeding. Will get you closer to where fluid stops. If a new master cylinder might bleed at cylinder, if no fluid at one point may have a cup installed backwards.
