Default Mk5 headlight switch location

Hi all
A new owner of a 1950 jaguar mk5 4 door
Bought it from a museum, and nobody knows anything about it. Runs nice.
Anyways.....i pulled every switch i can find on dashboard, and the headlights dont turn on. So, before i do anything, i was hoping somebody and tell me or show me the location of the beadlight switch.
(Turn signals work. Yay!)
Much thanks
Charlie

Have you tried turning the arrow-shaped switch in the centre of the dash below the middle instrument and just above the pull-out tray. Turn clockwise and there should be two positions, maybe three.

Default Vin number location

You sound like a mk5 owner, so wondering if you know where the vin number, or vin numbers are located on the MK 5?
Thanks
Chalie

Somewhere on the car will be a pre-printed plate about 5" x 3" containing labelled spaces for engine number, chassis number etc. These spaces are stamped with the actual values. It is normally in the engine compartment somewhere, probably on the bulkhead. However I may be wrong. In the early 50s there was no such thing as VIN Number, that came a lot later in the car industry.
