This is pushing right up to the limits of 'no advertising' in the tech sections.

However it's going to be such a hard item to source, I'll leave it here to see if any members with this model see it and can help.

Sorry about that, I didn't scroll down far enough to find the classified section.

The front screen Triplex (Pilkington) Part Number 4308 is the same for MK 10, 3.8, 4.2 and 420G so there is a good chance the rear screens for these models are also the same.

I've done a search for any available in the UK and rapidly concluded they are now seriously rare.

If you are absolutely desperate and cannot source one in the US, it could be worth considering shipping.

+1

Go for one wherever you can find it - they are getting seriously difficult to find.

The original supplier to Jaguar was Triplex Safety Glass in England. Triplex was part of Pilkington Bros, one of the major World players in glass manufacturing. They continued to manufacture older vehicle glass in a specialised facility in Kent.

In 2006 Pilkington Bros was taken over by Nippon Sheet Glass. NPK now operate the former Triplex facility and offer a one off manufacturing service for classic car owners:

Classic Glass For Classic Cars

If you are unable to source a suitable rear window, it would be worth contacting them:

Pilkington Automotive Limited
Hall Lane
Lathom
Nr Orkmskirk
Lancashire
L40 5UF
United Kingdom
email at pilkauto@nsg.com

They may even know if one of their distributors has one gathering dust on a shelf.

Hi JKbauder
I may be a few weeks late on your ask for a MK10 rear window as I am normanly in the xj300 xj40 section but I do have a 420G rear window screen plus a 420g front window screen plus MK10 front window screen. The only problem is I am in New Zealand. I am pretty sure they are the same fit. $80.00 N/Z will secure the rear screen I do not know what the freight would be. Hope this helps

Yes I'm interested in the rear windscreen. What shipping company would you use? Thanks for any help on this.

Hi I have never shipped any thing to the USA before but I will do some research tomorrow as it will have to be crated and weighed. I will get back to you with a shipping company and cost.

John, i would advise taking both screens if at all possible. They are like hens teeth, thats a good deal if shipping is any way reasonable. And front is most likely to get chipped or broken. of course its up to you ultimately. Regards jj.

Hi John
I will make contact with a auto glass company in my town on Monday to see if they have any glass crates available also to see how and who they use for shipping. $80.00 for the front also. It is 11pm Friday at the moment so not much happening until Monday anyway. My email address is jagspares @paradise.net.nz if you want to keep in touch I reached the age of retirement earlier this year but still have my toys and several projects on the go so glad to help in any way.
Cheers Ray
