1996 XJR 5 Speed Manual Getrag Complete engine with spares. RARE!

My Project XJC has taken a turn. I came across an Aston Martin V12 with a Tremec 6 Spd! So as crazy as it seems I need to sell My AJ16S 5sp Getrag. This Engine has 76000 Miles on it. I have not done anything to the inside It has great even compression an develops oil pressure with just the starter no problem. I Have. Replaced . Everything external all gaskets and had most parts powder coated or painted. all hoses are new. Clutch and fly wheel are stock. Injectors have been cleaned and flow tested. I have rewired all of the sensors with new connectors and wires to be used with aftermarket ECU(not Included). I have all of the original wiring and ECU and airflow meter. (it will need work to be used) . The engine has new custom made Exhaust manifolds that will not crack ever! The down Pipe has been converted to accept modern wide band 02 sensors. A new 1 wire low RPM high output Alternator. New AC Compressor. Extra Parts Complete XJR Head. What Aftermarket ECU were you planning to use? What needs to be done to the factory management system for it to work? |
I have a MS3 Gold Box all Wired in.
I have the complete wiring harness and ECU there is a man I think its XJengineer on this forum who can modify the ECU to run as a manual. The ECU I have came with the Engine and 5 speed it may be a manual ECU I just don't know.. The wiring will stay on the engine. All of the wires are printed on them what they go to one could just splice them all to the original harness and go. I wouldn't though with today's technology one would be far better off with an after market ECU and a tuner. Thanks Russell. Does the aftermarket ECU come with the package? Does it require a tuner familiar with MS3 Goldbox to configure it? Also, if I were to buy from you, it'll have to shipped overseas. Do you have the weight of the package? I also need your Zip to calculate shipping cost. Paul

A question come to mind. How about prop shaft? One must be able to source a manual X306 prop shaft to work with it, right?

The drive shaft yoke is included look closely and you will see it. That is the impossible thing to find from there any drive shaft shop will be able to fabricate one. Thanks for looking! |

I'm new to this forum and can't see where to send you a PM. Anyway, I'm thinking about your engine/trans for a swap into my recently acquired '94 XJS? Do you know if this would be a straight forward bolt-in....assuming I could find the pedal assembly and the ECU is to the proper spec? What about if I xourced a GM automatic (the current transmission in the car is a Getrag automatic)? I know very little about the similarities between the later XJS chassis and the X300, which I'm assuming was the parent car to this engine/trans...I'm hoping you do.

Hello! Everyone! I have had interest in this engine and transmission. Interestingly some people want the transmission and some people want the engine. So I will agree to break it up ....If I can find two individuals who are interested and will commit to buying at the same time.
Each buyer will be responsible for their own shipping costs. The Trans will come with the AJ16 Manual rear plate clutch and Flywheel. The Engine will come with everything engine related I have includeing ECU Automatic end plate Flex-plate spare intake ect. The threshold for the sale is 3500.00 however we get there. :) Rusty |
