1999 Jaguar XK8

After 8+ years mostly in my garage, the wife says its time to let this one go. Just over 48,000 miles, as the second owner the original owner gave me all his paperwork so Ive got the entire story on this car documented. Upgraded rims and tires plus a technology upgrade to the audio system includes Apple Carplay!

Question

Which series tensioners are in the car? Has transmission fluid been replaced? How long has she been in Arizona? Any issues with her?

The original tensioners are still on the car. Yes, the transmission fluid has been replaced. This car was originally leased in Flagstaff, AZ, moved to Tucson, AZ, and I purchased it and have had it in the Phoenix area since 2010.

I've been asked about cosmetic issues on the car, so I thought I'd answer here again:

Mechanically the car is in great shape. There are 2 cosmetic issues.

1. The leather is 20 years old and it's showing on the driver' seat. No holes yet, but it will need attention soon.

2. The paint job looks great from a distance, but under close inspection you can see cracks in the color coat. The clear coat is smooth to the touch. It was like this when I got the car in 2010. I debated about getting it painted but felt that I'd rather have the original and let it show it's character. As you can see in the pictures, it isn't noticeable from a distance, but this picture from about 4 inches away shows what I'm talking about.

This picture makes the cracks look much larger than they are. Like I said, this was taken from about 4 inches away, in the interest of full disclosure.
