Description:

I have decided to sell my extra set of in perfect condition 19-inch OEM Propeller wheels for $1,200 plus shipping off of my 2015 F-Type. They have the original Pirelli tires on them but since they have been stored - on a Tire Rack tire rack for the past 3 1/2 years - I'm afraid they are flat-spotted and likely unusable. If you are interested, and anywhere in the vicinity, I would also sell the tire covers and felt pads, along with the Tire Rack tire rack for an additional $200.

I am told, by our resident expert, that “as long as I had no more weight than the wheel on the tire” - which I did not - than the tires might not have suffered any damage at all (what I referred to as flat-spotting). Needless to say the wheels are what probably will truly matter here and they are in like-new perfect condition. FWIW.

I stopped into a local UPS to get a rough quote (I also did a quick search of tire shipping options last night; very helpful stuff and a couple of interesting websites) and it sounded like it would cost $300-$400 for all four (to 76044) but that sounds higher than I expect it might actually be. Naturally I would prefer to sell the wheels/tires to someone close by who could pick them up.

I am waiting to hear from someone who lives in CT and expressed interest and is willing to pick them up. Until I hear back from him I will sell the wheels/tires and Tire Rack tire rack and covers and felt pads for $1,300.

$1,150 wheels/tires alone. (Pick up price only)

Best regards,
RJ52

I’m new to this forum, so i can’t seem to PM yet although you can prob PM me. I’m willing to offer 1,350 delivered if your CT buyer falls through or you can find cheaper shipping. Seems like there should be cheaper shipping or else how could any tire store survive?

And I totally agree with you [re] shipping. Let’s see what happens.

I can’t seem to reply to your email either until i get 10 posts.

“You do realize that the tires are the original OEM Pirellis which were on the car for about the first 8 months I had the car and that they have been sitting in storage, on the tire rack rack, covered and with felt pads, for the last 3 1/2+ years? I have been told that they will probably be fine once on the road BUT I cannot be certain. The wheels, however, are in perfect condition!!!”

Indeed i was counting on the tires having at least a year or two left in them in my bid. However, i rarely get more than 5 years out of tires these days before cracking, tread separations, dry rot, etc. Seems like tires used to last longer for sure. Plus, I notice the maintenance history on my ftype shows all 4 pzeros have been warranted at different times well under 25k miles. So, you make me wonder if I bid too much.

With apologies for the delay. My buyer in CT continues to say he wants them - and I do believe him - and it’s only because he has been traveling that has prevented him from picking them up. So, I suspect that these will be sold any day now, although anything is possible (in other words nothing has been finalized), but did want to give everyone the heads up...

Default Last Call!

Turns out the gentlemen in CT discovered, just today, my/these F-Type OEM's won't fit his car (wish we discovered this earkier). Nevertheless last call for pick up before I pack these up and ship them to an interested party in TX (this weekend).
