Originally got this to avoid mounting a front license plate on daily use (an F-Type looks so much better without a front license!). In case I was ever cited for not having a front license in LA, I'd just need to go to the DMV, show that it's mounted and pay a $20 fee, then I'd remove it again when I got home. But it's mainly for displaying your car at show events, etc. It's a great insurance policy to have without having to drill holes into the bumper!
