My XF is a 4.2L Supercharged which is significantly different than the 5L intakes so it wouldn't be much help for designing a 5L intake.

TCP does sell a 5L Supercharged intake for the XJ. They do not sell an intake for any of the non supercharged 5L's. There is an odd tube that comes off of the non supercharged 5L's that is hard/expensive to replicate with an aftermarket intake.

    panels,

I brought it to this place:

    A & T Upholstery
    8579 Jefferson Hwy
    Maple Grove, MN 55369
    (763) 541-1968

It's kind of a mom and pop type of shop. It doesn't look that great from the outside. In my opinion I don't think they would take the car and pull the dash for you. You could always ask though. I brought them just the dash and the leather already pulled off. All they had to do was clean it up and glue it down. I'd let them pull the leather off if I did it again. Then you don't have to worry about the leather shrinking. Any shop should be able to glue the material back down so I would call around. It depends on if you want them to pull the dash as well. I'd bet most will shy away from that.

I'd contemplate pulling the dash for you if you wanted to pay me to swap it. You get to deal with the upholstery shop end though.

    Good luck!

    Chris

hey blackcoog, i've seen your other posts and would like your help and advice. I recently bought a 2009xf and was thinking about doing a 2011 xfr conversion, can you guide me thru the step of what to and what not to get. my body shop isnt that familiar with the items need to have a smooth conversion but they are willing to help.

Hi, I really like what you did with your custom intake tube, can you reproduce and have it ship to other cities ?

I'd really like to hear the sound too !

The intake setup on the XF is significantly different than the XK so the tubing setup I put together will not work on your XK. I'd search around on the XK forums and look for info from people that own a XK. They should be able to point you in the right direction.

I haven't swapped a pulley on my car yet. I know the 3psi pulley requires you to sand the supercharger snout down. Supposedly this last generation of the 4.2L SC motor can handle the increased air and heat. I was told the intercoolers were upgraded in our 4.2L's vs the previous versions so the added heat shouldn't be a problem. I'd go with the 3psi pulley.
