Hi Cambo, please can you help - you replied to a thread a couple of weeks ago about a replacement amp. The amp in my car is a AW93-19C164-BR, will a CH32-19C164-BC be a simple & suitable swap over ?

Wondering if you could help me out with sending me a few links to heavily modified R's. I am looking to pick one up by the end of this year and am going to look into dumping some money into it. Read a thread about a xfr that blew his motor but never finished the rebuild thread after building internals. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance

    Hi Cambo,

I hope you can assist with a problem that I have with my 2003 X350, fitted with the early ACC. Using SDD I found that the ACC module was not communicating and so sent it off to BBA. They have examined the unit and say it is not repairable. Modules are like hens teeth (and a risky buy anyway) so I wish to disable the ACC and revert to standard Cruise if possible. You referred to having knowledge of 3/4 cars that had done just that. My mongoose is V130 IDS/SDD. When connected to the car it automatically goes to SDD - I don't think I can select IDS for this car ?
My question, is - Can I reprogramme my ECM/PCM to delete the ACC as suggested or can I only do this if I can access IDS ?? If that is not feasible then my other thought was to fit a used ECM/PCM (from a car without ACC) and programme that to my car using SDD. Again, is that feasible and if so would I also need to get the immobiliser and instrument pack from the donor car ? . Regards Keith

    Hello Cambo,
My name is Steve and I live in southeast Texas.
My question is, I have a 2004 Jaguar X type 2.5 manual trans.
The problem is that I think I am having trouble with the alternator.... What it is doing: lights except a few are coming on on instrument panel or flashing on at times. I just replaced the alternator about a year ago and battery but the battery was never the correct size .... and I am smelling a burned smell on the alternator side in the engine compartment. But don't get me wrong, I put my meter on it and the meter of course on D.C. Volts is showing 13.5 to 14.8 volts .... some posts that I have read say check and or replace positive terminal from fuse box to battery.... I just don't know where to start. Do I need to put the correct battery in place? Or replace all the above cables, battery and alternator... Your help is appreciated, Thanks, Steve

    Hi Cambo,

I am in the UK but would like to flash my 2007 bluetooth module. Your last post on the bluetooth module thread suggests that the process is a bit of a hack, which is fine - I have no issue making a specialist cable or building a computer rig to complete the flash with, if you're able to provide details of how you've done it ?

Failing that, I don't mind doing a module swap, just a bit concerned about the trans-global shipping hassles and costs.

Can you let me know what you think the best route is ?

    Thanks, Steve (XKRMonkey)
