Carpet Replacement

Just looking and deciding where to get new carpeting and wondering what others did ?
Weather or not I should buy a complete set or have a local trimmer do the raw materials.

From the screen shots, the quality of workman ship varies, note in the first shot how badly puckered it is.
There are sellers out of eBay in the UK that look tempting and the finish on the binding looks well done, note the hole where the accelerator pedal is.
The eBay sellers offer a wool blend of 80/20% wool and nylon, but it isn't Wilton carpeting, but then again, my car didn't have wool anyway being a 340...

I took the advice of another member on this site, and used Luke Jones of Trim Tech Solutions out of the UK. It was reasonable, and I am very happy with the quality. You can contact him via email at Lukejones83@me.com

BAS International a great, I can't recommend them enough, family run firm and great to deal with.

Jaguar Interiors | BAS International

I get discount, if you are interested, let me know and I can sort that out.

I consider Skinner & BAS to be the best out there. Skinner also family run. I only have one criticism of BAS & that is one of originality of materials used. e.g. S Type headlining. They don't use Union Cloth. I have their samples & their material looks nice but is not original & obviously so.

JeffR1 ~ Whoever you decide to use make sure you can chat to them & voice your sensitivities. Internal edge binding of a 90 deg. corner if you don't cut and/or V the binding is always a challenge. With Jonathan he will purpose do whatever you prefer.

I wonder if BAS International is affiliated with these guys ?
The screen shot of the puckered binding is from them in my link.

About 90 deg. binding, one shouldn't have to tell them how to do their job, wouldn't it be obvious to use a method to avoid the mess in my first screen shot.

I'm still thinking about getting the raw materials and having someone local to do the binding.
I'm seeing someone this Thursday to find out what they're capable off.

Thanks guys for you help, lots to think about.

I agree with you but different people have different sensitivities. Jaguar did not do the greatest job new!
