Low Pressure Power Steering Lines

I'm just dealing with a few issues and one of them are the low pressure lines that run from the reservoir to the pump and steering box.
The one that ran to the pump was rock hard and leaking _ the clamp couldn't bite into it enough.

They appear to be two different sizes, one 5/8, the 1/2 inch.

What are others using here that can take the heat being so close the exhaust manifold ?
My local auto parts store sold me some silicon heater hose which I don't think would stand up to the oil in the system, although the silicone would take the heat from the manifold.

I used Parker Push Lok Plus High Temperature Black. Don't remember the sizes.

I used Pirtek hydraulic hose. If you take the old ones off and take them to them, they will make up new ones while you wait. I'm sure there will be a similar outfit near you that will make up hydraulic hoses.

I have seen some cars with aluminium/fibreglass heatproof convoluted sleeving to protect against manifold heat and I used it myself for a while. But I think if you have the correct hoses and the PAS pump in the right place on the back of the dynamo (so the hoses are as far from the manifold as you can get), you probably don't really need it.

That's the high pressure hose you are talking about Orlando? I'm talking LP hose. Parker Hannifin Push Lok will not handle 1000psi. They obviously make hoses that will & far more. Jeff was talking LP hose.

I used OE for the HP line.

I contacted Green Line, the people who make the silicone hose that I bought and they said it will work for oil, so I just used that.
We'll see in a number of months.

Parker Hannifin has been in the hydraulics game since Pa fell off the bus.

They make every hose you could possibly want for these applications. See range.

Knock yourself dead ~ catalogue.

Apologies. I'm sure Pirtek and other equivalent local suppliers also do low pressure oil hoses.

The pic was designed to show the heat-proof sleeving, really.

Understood. I just did not want anybody to think I was recommending Push Lok for 1000psi. It is a 300 ~ 400psi hose designed for high temp locations.
