MK2 Mystery Firewall Captured Nut
2 Attachment(s)
Hi folks,
I have a question for you. What is the purpose of the captured nut on the firewall in this photo? I have the same nut on my car, but I do not know its purpose. Is it perhaps used for the battery strap? Thanks. Lin |

(I could not understand why Jaguar would do that!) Thanks |

TilleyJon, I guess I mis-explained:
there are two thackery washers, one per brass bolt, One under each bolt head and it contacts the holdown bracket's "foot". (Not two thackery washers per bolt). . |
