C looks like the on-off switch for the rear windscreen defogger.

D could be the reset cable for a clock. Push it and turn it and watch the clock indicators. OR see B.

B same as D but could be the reset for the trip odometer in the speedo. OR see D

A don't know, maybe a Vent handle?

B & D are clock & odometer. Standard fitments below.

There is nothing standard on a Mk2 at position A

Position C is aftermarket.

B and D will be for setting the clock and zeroing the trip counter, not sure which is which, though. C is some aftermarket fitting, not sure what for. What A is I haven't a clue ! There was nothing like it on my Mark 2, but the bracket looks quite substantial. What is the rod doing on A ?

I believe position A might be a replacement for a floor mounted dipswitch. Possibly for someone with a handicap.

Glyn
I think you may be correct as the floor mounted dip switch appears to be covered by carpet.
