1990 Jaguar XJ6

Hi: I have a 1990 Jaguar XJ6. I would like to know the location of the CBD diagnostic input. Also I have a transmission warning light on all of the time. It seems to clunk when put into reverse from park and also it seems not to shift up to overdrive and stays in maybe 3rd gear while driving. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Hi John,welcome to the forum, if you are asking about an OBD port? These cars are only OBD1 and there is not a port as such.
I believe there is a port situated in the boot (trunk) that the proprietary Jaguar diagnostics plunged into but this was generally dealer only.
