2nd Generation Jaguar Enthusiast
2004 XJ8 4.2L 110k miles
I borrowed my dad’s ‘86 XJ6 to take my wife out on our first date. We celebrate 16 years of marriage on Friday. The XJ6 is gone but I’ve got an XJ8 if my own now. I’m willing to learn and take on any project. In the couple years I’ve owned her I’ve replace three ignition coils, heater hoses, refurbished the air suspension compressor, replaced the tranny pan/filter along with gaskets/sleeves and had to break into the car, remove rear set, drill out rivets on access panel, cut through carpet and open the trunk with emergency latch to get my only set of keys out of the trunk... Looking forward to tearing into the aux water pump and wiper motors this summer. https://cimg2.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.jag...9049742e4.jpeg https://cimg1.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.jag...7dd253eae.jpeg |

May I suggest, the Very First thing you should do, is have more keys made.
I have 3 sets. One is the original set I got with the car. You know, that flimsy rubber topped one, which fell apart the first week. That set is safely in my Key Storage Box in the safe as pattern for any subsequent copy, as is one copy set. I carry one set with me. Husband doesn't get to have a set. He would only lose it.
