Hi Guys a new member i am looking at purchasing a 71 series 1 xj6 as a project car are there any issues or problems i should be keeping an eye out for thanking you for any assistance you can help with as i dare say i will need it. Blanky

Blanky,

With a car that old, everything! But pay particular attention to rust on the floors, around the suspension etc.

Interior will be expensive to restore if in poor shape.

Welcome to the forum, best of luck with the project, as already mentioned, rust and interiors are expensive to fix. Rotted fuel tanks can also arise.

Head into the XJ6 section, you will meet some great folk.
