Welcome to the forum htretola,

Good to have you with us at Jaguar forums.

I've moved your other post from General Tech Help to S-Type forum for advice from members with the same model.

Follow this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/s...ed-v8-x200-15/ to the S-Type forum for help, advice and information. The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for information on regular issues.

Please remember to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.

You haven't put a City/State Location so I can't give you a link to the appropriate Region forum
to find other members in your region.

Enjoy the forums.

Graham

I'm sorry your Jaguar is giving you such trouble. They do that from time to time, I think just to get attention.

Welcome to the forums from ElinorB.

What is the age and condition of the battery? A failing or weak battery can cause many of the electrical 'faults' discussed on these forums.

With the ignition in the OFF position, there should be a minimum of 12.5 volts across the battery terminals. If not, the battery should be replaced.

Has any work been recently performed on the engine? Or has the engine compartment been washed using a high-pressure hose?

Do not operate the vehicle until the cause of the misfires is found and corrected.

Under no circumstances is the vehicle to be operated under conditions that cause the MIL to flash as catalyst damage is occurring.
